What is SSL?

SSL creates a secure connection between a client and a server, over which any amount of data can be sent securely, SSL is designed to transmit individual messages securely. When you enable SSL mode, you can rest assured that any data you transmit between the computer you are working on and the server you are connected to is encrypted and secure, thus making it virtually impossible for anyone to intercept that data your are transmitting.
